Thanks to the 2-2 draw between Napoli and Roma earlier this evening, AC Milan have mathematically qualified for the 2024-25 edition of the Champions League. It certainly wasn’t in doubt, but now it has been fully confirmed.

Milan only needed a win to secure Champions League qualification for next season but settled for a point against Juventus. Therefore, they had to wait until today’s clash between Napoli and Roma, which ended 2-2 and thus stopped the Giallorossi in their tracks.

Roma are currently in fifth place, the final UCL spot, with 59 points and this means 11 points separate them from Milan. Atalanta are in sixth place with 57 points and a game in hand, meaning both of these can still mathematically leapfrog the Rossoneri in the standings.

However, both cannot do this due to their encounter in the 36th round, and as such Milan have mathematically secured Champions League qualification. Stefano Pioli made it clear that they want to finish in second place, though, so there will be no messing about in the final rounds.

The Champions League qualification is a nice financial boost for Milan and fans are hoping for big investments in the summer, with a new manager and a new No.9 needed.
