Juventus are reportedly interested in Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio who remains on Inter Milan’s watch list.

The 26-year-old is a Nerazzurri youth product who grew up idolizing Samir Handanovic.

But as a youngster, he couldn’t find enough space at Inter.

In 2020, he joined Monza initially on loan, before making his move permanent in 2022.

Since then, he has established himself as one of the hottest up-and-comers in Serie A.

The Italian was one of the best revelations in the top flight last season. This term, he has been confirming his prowess with solid showings week in week out.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, De Gregorio’s exploits have attracted the interest of Juventus.

The Bianconeri are now considering the Monza star as a long-term replacement for Wojciech Szczesny. The Pole’s future at the club remains uncertain as his contract will expire in 2025.

Moreover, Napoli and Roma could also consider a move for the shot-stopper in case they decide to change personnel between the sticks.

Nevertheless, Inter continue to monitor the situation.

As the source notes, Di Gregorio would never decline the opportunity to return to his boyhood club.

As the source tells it, Monza CEO Adriano Galliani has slapped a 20-million euros price tag on the goalkeeper’s back.

Juventus Enter The Race For Inter Milan Youth Product Michele Di Gregorio

The legendary AC Milan director believes De Gregorio should have a similar valuation to Guglielmo Vicario who made the move from Empoli to Tottenham last summer.

The report also notes that Inter maintain a sell-on clause that would allow them to pocket a percentage from a future sale.

For his part, the player’s agent Carlo Alberto Belloni insists that the custodian is ready to make a move towards a bigger club.

“He is ready for a top club. We will find out where he will go in the coming months,” he told Sportitlia.

This season, Di Gregorio has earned 11 clean sheets in 22 Serie A appearances. He only conceded 17 goals.
