West Ham have set sights on Valentin Carboni, but it’s unlikely Inter will sell their youngster, who’s currently on loan at Monza. They made a timid attempt to bring him back early as a possible Alexis Sanchez replacement, but Adriano Galliani said no, Tuttomercatoweb informs. Moreover, the Chilean isn’t pushing to depart.

The Irons started off with an €11M offer, which was promptly rejected. Per TycSports (via Mediaset), they might try again by putting €14M on the table.

According to Calciomercato, Inter aren’t entertaining the departure of Carboni, and even a €20M offer wouldn’t be enough for West Ham to snap him up. The 18-year-old has logged 2 goals and 3 assists in 15 appearances in his maiden Serie A season.

The Nerazzurri believe in the prodigy and are devising a plan for his future with his entourage. He’s already under contract till 2028.

La Beneamata has occasionally cashed in on their youngster to address their financial needs rather than weakening their squad. They sold Cesare Casadei to Chelsea for €15M and Giovanni Fabbian to Bologna for €5M last summer.

Our Take on Inter, West Ham, and Carboni

They should hold onto him as he has huge potential and has already proven he can hang in the top flight at a very young age. A sale can never be ruled out altogether when the Nerazzurri are involved, but the timing would be way off since his value is set to naturally increase in the next few years.
