The future of Xavi Simons has been at the forefront in the last couple of days, with the 2023-24 season ending soon. Furthermore, there have been conflicting reports over what will happen to the player as the summer transfer window opens in a few weeks.

According to a report from RMC Sport on Thursday, it was revealed that Simons won’t be coming back to PSG this summer. Apparently, the player isn’t feeling motivated to stay in Paris any longer.

Nonetheless, Le10Sport reported on Friday that the Ligue 1 side is closely monitoring Simons’ situation and patiently awaiting the end of the 2023-2024 season. After that, they intend to sit down with the Dutchman, listen to his perspective, and make decisions regarding his future.

The latest information comes from transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano, who reports that Simons and PSG plan to determine their future before the Euros. However, PSG is reluctant to part ways with Simons this summer.

Additionally, RB Leipzig lacks the financial capacity for a permanent transfer. As a result, a loan move appears to be the most feasible option, with Barcelona showing interest and both Leipzig and Premier League clubs eager to secure the player. Nonetheless, Simons will decide the loan arrangement should that happen.
