Seattle Mariners Appear to Have Dodged Disaster with Andres Munoz

Munoz did look like he was having a hard time catching his breath and the team took no chances with him. He has missed most of the season with injury already so a re-occurrence of that was the initial cause for concern.

The Mariners went onto lose the game in extra innings, 6-4, and did chew up a large portion of their bullpen in doing so. It's unclear as to whether or not Munoz will be available on Sunday.

In limited action this year, Munoz has an ERA of 0.00 over nine innings. He's struck out 14 batters in those nine innings.

The 24-year-old burst onto the scene last year and was a major reason why the Mariners made the playoffs for the first time since 2001. He appeared in 64 games and pitched to a sparkling 2.49 ERA.

The Mariners are currently 37-38 and will look to get back to .500 on the season when they finish out the series with the Orioles. George Kirby takes the hill for the M's while Kyle Bradish pitches for Baltimore.
